Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice meaning 'spritual' (Rei) and 'energy' (Ki). It is in essence our inner, great, bright light. Developed in the 1920s by Mikao Usui and passed down from teacher to student, Reiki involves the practitioner gently guiding universal energy to support the mind and body's natural healing processes. It's a non-invasive practice that promotes deep relaxation, reduces stress and soothes the nervous system.
Yes. Reiki invites rest, which can support you to feel less overwhelmed, reduce stress, anxiety and calm the nervous system. Many people find they feel calm, rested and grounded after a session which can lead to improved sleep and a sense of clarity.Reiki also involves simple guiding principles to encourage a calmer way of living and emotional balance. These are, to not be angry, to not worry, to be grateful, be true to our way and being kind to ourselves and others.
Yes. As Reiki is a non-invasive complementary therapy, it is generally considered gentle and supportive during pregnancy. Many people find it comforting throughout different stages of pregnancy and I'll work with you to adjust the space to your comfort and needs. As everyone's pregnancy is unique, please always check with your healthcare provider if you have any specific concerns or medical conditions.
Before you arrive, please complete the Client Consent and GDPR Privacy Form that will be sent to you. This helps to understand any needs or considerations and ensure your comfort throughout the session. You'll receive booking details in advance — including the date, time and location. Your session will be confirmed once payment has been received.Try to avoid heavy meals within a few hours before your session, this is so your body can focus less on digestion and more on healing.Wear something comfortable. You’ll be lying down and comfortable clothing helps you relax. Don't worry if you’re coming straight from work, the gym or anywhere else and you don't have time to change, that's completely fine — Reiki flows just the same.Arrive 5 mins before your session. Once you arrive, do place your phone on do not disturb mode (unless you need to be contacted in case of emergency).
When you arrive, you'll be invited to lie down and offered optional comforts to help you settle. We'll begin with a guided opening to help you arrive, soften and prepare for the session.During the Reiki part of the session, hand placement is either light touch or held just above the body, always guided by your comfort. I work intuitively through the body’s energy centres (chakras) and pathways (meridians), supporting areas that may feel blocked or in need of balance. The experience is gentle and calming, with many people feeling warmth, tingling, spaciousness or deeply rested. It is natural to fall asleep or release emotion — I'll be present throughout to support you.I’ll guide your awareness back into the space with a gentle closing, giving you a moment to arrive, breathe and become present again.
Every person responds differently and it's worth being aware that each session you have may leave you feeling different each time. Most people leave feeling calmer, peaceful, lighter, more settled and connected to their body. You may also feel deeply relaxed or slightly energised. It's also completely natural to feel emotional release — sometimes this shows up as a softness in your body, clarity or a shift in perspective. Your body may continue processing the session, so give yourself time to rest, practise gentle grounding (walking in nature is a great way to do this) and most importantly be kind to yourself.
Reiki is gentle and non‑invasive, so there's not a set limit on how often you can receive it. The frequency depends on what you need, your body will naturally guide you — some periods call for more regular support, others for more spaciousness. I’m always happy to help you find a rhythm that feels right for you. Many people find they benefit by incorporating Reiki into their routine:For deeper support — such as stress, anxiety, emotional release or times of transition — weekly or fortnightly sessions can help build momentum and steady the nervous systemFor general wellbeing and as part of a self-care routine, every 3-4 weeks feels grounding and sustainable
Reiki + Cacao incorporates everything a Reiki session does with the exception that this is a heart-led session that introduces a ceremonial grade cacao ritual. Paired with Reiki, cacao supports a calm inward focus, helping to reconnect with yourself and move through what you’re ready to let go of in a calm and supportive way.Cacao is a minimally processed, nutrient-dense plant that offers gentle energy, heightened mental focus, and a naturally heart-opening experience. It's grounded feeling helps the body settle and the mind soften. Its natural properties support circulation and relaxation. As the body unwinds, tension eases and emotions held beneath the surface can move with more ease, creating space for gentle release, clarity, and self‑expression. It's important to disclose any allergies, sensitivities, medications, or health conditions that may be relevant to consuming cacao (for example: heart conditions, pregnancy, or medications that affect blood pressure or mood). If you’re unsure whether cacao is suitable for you, please check with a healthcare professional.
The experience is similar to an In Person Reiki Healing with sessions held remotely, wherever you are. It doesn't require you to be physically present or travel, since Reiki isn’t limited by location — practitioners work with intention and connection to guide universal energy to you wherever you are.People commonly feel calm, grounded, warm, spacious or deeply rested. Some prefer distance sessions because it provides flexibility, allows you to relax in the comfort of your own space, avoid travel and receive support during moments of need - perfect for those short on time. You'll be guided before your session begins, a reminder will be sent beforehand to give you time to settle in your space before we begin. Once your session comes to an end, I'll gently follow up with you to share your experience and any aftercare.
A Cacao Circle is a quiet space to unwind, reflect in circle, connect with yourself and others and share warming, heart-opening ceremonial grade cacao. Each circle we'll gather and soften into the space and the theme for the month, give gratitude to the cacao before we take our first sip together.Cacao is a minimally processed, nutrient-dense plant that offers gentle energy, heightened mental focus, and a naturally heart-opening experience and as we drink, we'll open up the space and share a recent reflection in circle and sow a seed (intention) for the month ahead whilst we listen to one another without opinion or judgment. We'll close the circle with a grounded practice before resuming your evening, the weekend and month ahead. Please note, this is not a ceremonial circle. We share a gentle serving of ceremonial grade cacao (around 20g) to support grounding, reflection and connection in community.
